Do You Have What it Takes To Run a ‘Beer Mile’ [VIDEO]
This is really a thing. Chug a beer, run a quarter-mile, repeat 3 times. And don't vomit. The World Championships were just held in San Francisco.
For far too long distance running and beer drinking have been two separate activities. Not any longer (actually this has been going on for more than 25 years). This seems like one of those 'endurance sports' where you better be careful who's around when you make jokes because a few take it too seriously (like Quidditch that one time).
Here are the basic rules of running a Beer Mile
- Chug a 12-ounce beer
- Run a quater-mile
- Chug a 12-ounce beer
- Run a quarter-mile

- Don't Vomit (you're disqualified if it happens)
So the stage was 'perfectly' set for the 3 of them to race against each on Treasure Island, tucked under the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. And the event wasn't just these guys, they were just the main event.
Watch what happened.
For extra laughs, watch what happened when Greg Garber from ESPN tried to complete this race.
While our first Brews & BBQ event will feature many kinds of beer, the only running that should be done, is to the front of the stage once the Bret Michaels concert starts.
