Chicago Mayoral Candidate Hands Out $200,000 is This Legal?
Willie Wilson said he wasn't trying to buy votes, as he handed out $200,000 in cash.
WGNTV says no rules were violated as a Chicago mayoral candidate handed out $200,000 in cash.
Millionaire businessman Willie Wilson called it "one of the biggest property tax relief assistance events of the year". Mr. Wilson handed out cash and LOTS of it, at New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church and apparently did nothing wrong.
The Illinois State Board of Elections said that because the money came from Mr. Wilson's non-profit foundation, that no rules were broken.
