You can celebrate International Museum Day on May 18th in Rockford.

This Thursday, May 18th, is International Museum Day. Celebrate by checking out one of the great museums in Rockford. We have some nice ones in our area.

Burpee Museum of Natural History - Visit Jane the dinosaur.

Discovery Center Museum - Hands-on children's museum.

Midway Village Museum - Learn Rockford's history.

Ethnic Heritage Museum - Find out about Rockford's ethnic culture.

Tinker Swiss Cottage Museum and Gardens - Unique house and grounds.

Macktown Living History Education Center  - Native American history.

If you can't make it out on Thursday, please make plans to visit them another time. We are very lucky for having such excellent facilities in Rockford. It's a fun time for the whole family.

Personally, I've been to the Burpee, Discovery Center, and Midway Village several times with my family and we have always enjoyed ourselves. I really like the Tinker Cottage. It's a nice hidden gem. I plan on visiting the rest of them this summer.

Have a good International Museum Day!
