The more that time goes by, I find more and more 'George' people. Even if you didn't read George Harrison's name in the headline, you would probably know what I'm talking about. Those four names; John, Paul, George and Ringo evoke something in everyone, young and old. George always seemed the most approachable. The most that 'everyday' people would be comfortable around. What do I know? I never met the man, but as a kid I listened to his solo albums more than other Beatle (though John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band (1970) is perhaps my favorite album of all-time).

I was lucky enough to speak with another rock 'n roll great about his friendship with George. Gary Wright had solo success with "Dreamweaver" and "Love is Alive," among other songs and was a founding member of the great, often over-looked band Spooky Tooth. Gary is now an author with his newly published tome, Dream Weaver: A Memior ; Music, Meditation, and My Friendship with George Harrison. Gary opened up about meeting George when the Beatles were at the height of their fame, traveling to India with him and being a member of Ringo's All-Starr Band. The two bonded over music and their deep spiritual beliefs. It was a great conversation and I hope you enjoy it.
