Bill Murray to Open Restaurant an Hour From Rockford

Get excited Bill Murray fans, he and his brothers will open a Caddyshack Themed restaurant not far from Rockford.

Bill Murray is famous for being one of the coolest and most down to earth celebrities around, oh and that time he was in that golf movie.

Bill Murray has had quite the screen time over the course of his career, but one of his most memorable performances was in "Caddyshack" as the greens keeper Carl Spackler.

Bill Murray and his five brothers have decided to open Murray Bros. Caddyshack Restaurant/Bar in Rosemont, Illinois.

According to the Daily Herald, the bar/restaurant will be within the Crowne Plaza Hotel at River Road and Balmoral Avenue, across the street from the Rosemont Theatre box office.

Don't expect doors to open in the next few weeks, there are still many moving parts that need to be put together. Currently there is a verbal agreement while the written lease is being drawn up. Also, blueprints need to be submitted to the village for review before construction begins. It seems we may be seeing the opening in late summer 2017.

This will be the second location to the Murray Bros. Caddyshack Restaurant/Bar, as the first is at the World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Florida.

The Florida restaurant/bar boasts Chicago style food and fun where you can 'Eat, Drink and be Murray.'
