Belvidere Store Featured On NBC’s TODAY
When you watch a news segment about a national chain store you might not expect a Belvidere location to be featured. That's exactly what happened at the Family Video on West Harrison Street, and it wasn't just "b-roll" footage.
The TODAY segment focused on Family Video's success compared to defunct video stores like Blockbuster. And, one big selling pointed is the video stores "family feeling" and focus on customer service. The NBC show interviewed Reece Hampton (an employee at Belvidere's Family Video) and he stressed the importance of treating every customer like family, down to know their customers by name.
