A chicken was dropped off at Beloit Hospital and the police are looking for the owner.

Owning a pet is a big responsibility. Before you go out and get one, you should think long and hard if you're up for the task. I think it's wrong for people the adopt an animal and then decide it's too much work. Then they just get rid of it. That isn't fair.

It looks like a person in Beloit got themselves a chicken, but when they didn't know how to care for it. The owner left it for somebody else to deal with.

According to mystateline.com,

"Beloit Police are searching for the owner of a chicken which was brought to a hospital for treatment but got away. Anyone who knows the owner of the chicken is asked to call police at 608-757-2244."

Here's a picture of the chicken from the Beloit Police Department Facebook page...

I don't believe the Beloit Hospital has a chicken drop off program.
