I grew up with the British invasion bands. The Beatles, the Stones, the Animals and the Yardbirds turned me on to the blues, the music I found in my own backyard. Growing up in the Chicago area, I was able to see many of the blues greats in their prime. The blues has always been part of my life. I have been playing bass in the Basement Blues Band since its beginning in 1983. I have been broadcasting the blues in the airwaves in Rockford since 1987. It is great to be on air on the Eagle with the Sunday Morning Blues. Over the years, the blues has evolved as the times have changed. I try to cover all the bases on the show. You will hear vintage blues as well as the newest releases. I also focus on the live blues happening in the clubs in the area. By getting out to hear live blues in your neighborhood, you help to keep the blues alive and vibrant.
