Wouldn't it be nice if we could go back in time? Back to a time where it was safe for our kids to play from sun up to sundown with barely a care in the world. It's sad to think that that's just not world we live in these days. You just never know when your child's safety is at risk.

Such is the case in Davis Junction. According to WREX, Ogle County deputies are searching for a man accused of trying to abduct a 9-year-old child from the Rolling Meadows trailer park around 3:15 Thursday afternoon.

The suspect is described as a man in his late teens, early 20's with reddish brown hair, green eyes and a work shirt with a name patch that might say "Andrew." He was seen driving a truck with rust and a decal in the back window.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to call the Ogle County Sheriff's Office at 815-732-2136.
