The city of Rockford should look into getting Amish Uber for downtown.

Last Friday, if you came to "Rock the Dock 3" at Prairie Street Brewhouse, you might have noticed downtown was a happening place.

Besides the Quiet Riot show, there was a bunch of other events going on including City Market, Friday Night Flix, First Friday, and Seinfeld at the Coronado to just name a few.

That meant a free for all when it came to parking.

Well, here's an idea that might help that situation in the future.

According to upi.com,

"An Amish man in Michigan is putting a new spin on ride-sharing with his horse and buggy service that he branded "Amish Uber." He started offering $5 rides in his horse-drawn buggy after learning about Uber."

His ride service is not associated with the real Uber.

Also, it's not as easy to catch a ride with "Amish Uber" because there is no app. The only way to get a ride is to wait on the street for him to come by.

I think it would be cool to have them going around downtown Rockford, especially on a busy Friday night in the summer. It would add something new and different.

What do you think?
