My sisters suffer from migraines and when watching them in terrible pain, nauseous and quietly sitting in the dark, I feel horrible. I feel horrible that I can't take their pain away. I wish that there was something more that they could do to elevate the pain.

Alternative relief for migraines comes in the form of a piercing

I feel like they have tried countless of different remedies, yet nothing fully helps with their pain.

I know my little sister will be on board with this new method of relief, my older sister may need more convincing.

The new form of relief comes in the form of a daith piercing which is performed at tattoo shops around the country.

The daith piercing is a small ring that pierces the inner cartilage of either ear, running through a pressure point, which for some will relive migraine pain. It is a relatively new procedure, mainly preformed at tattoo and piercing shops with not many statistics to back it up yet.

So maybe the scientific data isn't readily available yet, but for some, desperate times come to desperate measures. With those who have already gotten the piercings, they have felt much relief. You can read more of their testimonials here.

If I was suffering daily with terrible migraines, I would give it a try. Why not? If it didn't work, I'd at least still have a piece of pretty jewelry adorning my ear.
