Saturday Night Live has been on the air since October 1975, when George Carlin hosted the first show. Over the past thirty-nine years, SNL cast members and alumni have released countless films. Some are classics, such as Caddyshack, Animal House, The Blues Brothers, and Austin Powers. Some are not so good. Love Guru anyone?

I knew that Brian Doyle-Murray, Bill's brother co-wrote the movie with Harold Ramis and that the Murray brothers did works as caddies and course workers as teens in and around Wilmette, Illinois. However, I didn't know that the Baby Ruth scene was inspired by gags the Murray brothers pulled when they were young hooligans.

IFC put together fifteen little-know facts about the movie that compelled the Dalai Lama to declare "Gunga. Gunga gulotta." Make your own Caddyshack moments at the 2014 Eagle Open. Print off the registration form and drop it off or mail it in. It's almost SOLD-OUT!
